Default Can GARS take on a WordPress-type appearance re: comments

Can GARS take on a WordPress-type appearance re: comments or replies to the original article?

What I mean by that question is:

The left column of my future website is going to be articles powered by GARS (I hope). When someone clicks on the "read more" link, I'd like for it to go to an entire page of articles, or that full article only, but with the comments not all loading as visible replies, but just accessible via a red link "Comments" like in WordPress.

I'd prefer it to be a clean listing of article(s), not articles + all the comments looking like vBulletin replies

Sir Geek!

Here are 2 examples - from the top featured Wordpress blogs today:

http://scobleizer.wordpress.com/

http://scripting.wordpress.com/

The articles (base topic) have the main focus, and the comments (replies) are visible only by clicking on the word "Comments".
This type of formatting gives the articles center stage, and make the sometime inane comments from trolls less visible.

Is this possible? Please say Yes.

not out of the box, thats a blog design. Im sure that a modification on forumdisplay would do it though.

Hmmm....

Maybe someone already did this. If there's a hack for this, then maybe I could combine that hack + GARS.

It's either that or disallow comments.

Geek, would it be possible to show the content of the (first) post in the forum display by changing the template?

If so, then this would achieve the blog layout because you would view all posts in a forum to read it like a blog and then only click into the post to view replies.

It could do... You mean the ENTIRE thing? If you turn the synopsis on, you will get a preview in your threadbit.

I don't see why showing the whole post would be a problem do you?
