Default Problem with Importing the product

I followed your instructions and they were fairly easy to follow ...

However when I try to import the product it takes up to like 300 secs
and then times out... Can you think of any reason why this would happen?
The board is up and running and such so I know it is not a db connection issue....

Any help would be appreciated.

We are using vbulletin 3.7.2 as well, does GARS work with that?

Don't recall hearing about any timeout issues with the GARS import, and yes, GARS works with vB 3.7.2. The default PHP timeout is 30 seconds. See if your host will increase max_execution_time or edit the product-gars.xml file.

After the first instance of this:
Code:
<installcode>echo("Please wait...
");
Add the following:
Code:
@ignore_user_abort(true);
if (@ini_get('safe_mode') != 1)
{
	@set_time_limit(0);
	@ini_set('max_execution_time',0);
}
@ini_set('memory_limit','128M');
@ini_set('post_max_size','30M');
And then try the import.
