Default Can't un-feature articles; tried everything I can think of.

I've tried clearing the cache, removing the 'feature to' date completely, setting the 'feature to' date to a date in the past, adding new articles with long feature dates... none of this seems to make any difference. I've still got just the one featured article showing, which is the first article I uploaded and featured.

Anyone know how I might fix this?

Thanks.

I take it no-one else has come across this or is aware of a fix for it yet? Bit hacked off to have paid for the b*****d and it doesn't work, only to find no support now - terrific. May as well bin it.

Set an expiry date to featured articles that way it will automatically unfeature itself.

If there are no other featured threads then it will stay as featured until you feature a new thread.

That's my point.

I have made several other threads 'featured'. The one, original article that was the first uploaded and the first made 'featured' continues to remain the sole featured article, despite my best efforts at cleaning the cache, changing and adding/removing featured dates and so on. Short of deleting the whole article, I don't know what else to do.

No I don't unfortunately.

Does it make a diff on what kind of server it's hosted, out of interest? All my previous setups with GARS (a couple) have been RedHat but this one is Windows (not my choice incidentally)

What i suspect is file and usergroup ownership on cache files. If your cache files has a different usergroup and owner than gars cannot update the cache files.
