Default GARS filters and CMPS = error?

Hi Geek! GARS 2.1.2 is up and running live and everything was beautiful. Articles with nice custom fields with forumdisplays with nice filters. Then we wrapped the forums/GARSticles in vbAdvanced CMPS (using this method) and now we're getting this not so nice error on filtering:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function print_portal_output() in /home/oursite/public_html/forums/includes/functions.php on line 4864

Is this one of those global variable things, and if so how do we fix it? If not...what is it? Help?

Thanks in advance!

Susan and James

er... tough to say there. DOesnt sound like the wrapper method doesnt account for the request variables the filter module sends through. That or its a conflict with one of the variables we use.

I suppose I could try to replicate it, but it kind of falls out of the scope of what I support as its not a vbacmps product.

I was afraid of that. Trying to get a helpful response at vba isn't the easiest endeavor....

Thumbs up Solution found:

The root cause seems to be related to vBSEO. By selectively shutting down mods we positively ID'd the problem as related to vBSEO. Posted details on their support forum and Oleg over there recognized the issue and pointed us to a solution:

In Forums/includes/ open functions.php and replace:
PHP Code:
if (defined('VBA_PORTAL') AND !defined('SKIP_OUTPUT') AND !defined('VBA_SCRIPT') AND !defined('NOPMPOPUP'))
With:
PHP Code:
if (defined('VBA_PORTAL') AND !defined('SKIP_OUTPUT') AND !defined('VBA_SCRIPT') AND !defined('NOPMPOPUP') AND function_exists('print_portal_output'))
Problem vanished. Anyway, it looks like it's some interaction between CMPS and vBSEO that surfaced with vBSEO version 3.

Hope that helps anyone that stumbles across the same issue, it's an annoying one .
