Default Resource data missing after upgrade

I had reference to authors in a resource box below each article to credit the author of each article. However, after upgrading I can't see the resource content at all. I reinstated the resource module and it is active but my content for that module is missing.

Please offer some suggestions...I've got hundreds of articles that have to have the author's resource info with them

Are you using the option to cache settings? Can you go into each module set to make sure the module is there and then click save?
Also make sure that prior to saving that your geek/gars/cache folder (and its subfolders are chmodded to 0777

Yes...cron selected to do it and I've even run it several times myself.

The module is there and I've saved it once again.

Permissions are 777 on cache and subfolders.

Maybe I had the references as a custom module. It's been so long I can't remember how I set it up. Anyways, in the database under vb3_gars inside the custom1 area there is all the references for each article. Which might mean that I had the references setup as a custom module, right?

If so, how do I get them to show back up? I tried making custom modules but they don't show up in there...I'm lost as you can see. Can you please tell me how to get the custom1 data to show up in the articles again? That's if I'm making any sense...I hope so... lol .

Thanks and have a splendid day

Was this a custom module you made? GARS 1.x modules are directly compatible with 2.x versions.

In 2.x, I broke the different 'stages' of the module down into 'sub folders'.

It sounds like a 1.0x module being used with 2.0. Can you post the module here?

I looked under /geek/gars/mods and found these:
display
edit
persist
settings
attachments.php
featured.php
google.php
googletext.php
index.htm
linkheaderimage.php
quickratings.php
ratings.php
references.php
toc.php
tools.php
top.php
userinfo.php

Here is what's in the references.php file:
PHP Code:
<?php

if ($stage == "edit" || $stage == "display")
    {

$custom_title $vbphrase["GARS_references"];

$custom_description construct_phrase($vbphrase['GARS_references_for_x'], $this->terms['lowercase']);

$custom_name "custom1[$itemid]";
        if (
$stage == "display")
        {

$customvalue $values;
            if (
$settings['parse_bb'])
            {

$customvalue $this->parse_bbcode($customvalue$settings['allow_html']);
            }
        }
        else
        {

$customvalue $values;

        }
        if (
$customvalue || $stage == "edit")
        {
            eval(
'$output .="' fetch_template('GARS_references') . '";');
        }
    }
    elseif(
$stage == "persist")
    {

$custom_refs $values;
        if (
strlen($custom_refs) > $value['settings']['max_length'])
        {

$errors[] = construct_phrase($vbphrase['GARS_your_refs_are_too_long'], $this->terms['lowercase']);
        }

$values $custom_refs;
    }
    elseif(
$stage == "settings")
    {

print_description_row($vbphrase["GARS_refs"]);

print_input_row($vbphrase["GARS_refs_max_length"], "custom_refs_max_length[$itemid]"$settings['max_length']);

print_yes_no_row($vbphrase["GARS_parse_bbcode"], "custom_refs_parse_bb[$itemid]"$settings['parse_bb']);

print_yes_no_row($vbphrase["GARS_allow_html"], "custom_refs_allow_html[$itemid]"$settings['allow_html']);

    }
    elseif(
$stage == "persistsettings")
    {

$settings['max_length'] = intval($_POST['custom_refs_max_length'][$itemid]);

$settings['parse_bb'] = intval($_POST['custom_refs_parse_bb'][$itemid]);

$settings['allow_html'] = intval($_POST['custom_refs_allow_html'][$itemid]);
    }
?>

Even if I try to edit them the info is not in the edit. It sounds like a custom mod, right? I just don't know how to pull that info back into the articles...

I still can't figure it out.

I tried to rename the old references to references2 and added to the display folder and then added it as a new mod. It still won't pull the old references data from the database.

Can you please look at the code from the references file I posted a few replies up and see if there is somethang I need in there to get the data from the database under vb3_gars inside the custom1 column? All data is there in that column but I don't know how to pull it back into gars
