Default GARS 2.0: Compare items

With the introduction of custom fields it would be a killer feature to be able to compare items side-by-side.

i.e.

A field set for cars:

1. Make
2. Model
3. Cost
4. BHP

Not sure what you mean? Do you mean like a shopping cart system that allows you to compare specs?

Yes. So in the forum display you could check a box next to each item then click on compare, which would then show you the fields of the selected items side-by-side.

It would probably be a good idea to specify which fields would be used for the compare screen in Admin.

I like the idea but Im not too sure how to impliment it yet. I think it would have to be done as an add-on after the 2.0 release

What I want is the ability to make a stick thread in a NORMAL forum a GARS type while the rest stay as the default vb type. Far as im aware it doesnt do this at this time, though not sure if you could ever do it ( a tick box when you make a post maybe?)

hmmm.

I see what you mean. Let me mull it over. There are a couple of potential ways to do this - just cant promise it as a feature for 2.0 (not yet anyway)
