Default GARS 2.0: Custom fields in Reply

Not sure if this is already possible or not but it would be really nice to be able to allow custom fields when a user posts a Reply/Comment to a review.

i.e.

1. Where did you buy this product?
2. How long have you used this product for?
3. Strengths
4. Weaknesses

Totally possible Richy - and you don't have to look at a scrap of HTML or php to do it

Its very much possible with 1.x too, it just requires creating a custom module to capture the data.

Hi,

I have figured out how to have custom fields in new posts, but I cant see how I can specify how to have custom fields in replies.

Can you help please?

er... you cant. They are tied to the first post only (same with modules). Now I re-read your first post I see that I kind of misread it

Would it be posible to introduce this at all?

It would then basically save me having to buy ReviewPost to do product reviews.

Not with the current framework. Custom fields and GAR entires are all tied to threads making them a 1:1 relationship. Changing it to relate to posts is potentially possible, however would require a total rethink of how GARS works behind the scenes
