I think what would make your products much better would be vba integration see inside
For example, if you were able to use both GARS and
GMART
while allowing a user to pick and choose modules to place on the page, i.e. adsense, affiliates, stats etc.
Thoughts? How realistic is it to expect an idea like this to be implemented at all? If yes, what's the timeframe? |

Im not too sure what you mean.
If you are asking for vba modules to be used on them - it just cant happen Plus, Im not sure what good most of those modules would be on an article page (whos online, latest topics, upcoming events) There is a way to set up vbacmps to put a column on ALL of your forum pages which may be what you are after. |

In a sense, yes. I'd like to be able to use modules from VBA and display certain ones on any page... i.e. game reviews etc. But not on the forum homepage. Maybe I could draw a diagram of what I'd like to see done...

sure. As I said in a previous thread - it is pretty easy to port cmps modules over or to create similar modules. You can even set up cmps to put columns on your other pages.
Maybe if you specified what modules you use with CMPS it would help me get a clearer picture of what you're after. |

Example, I'd like to have an adsense module ported over, perhaps my affiliates box. etc.
Like is it just a matter of putting in some code in one spot and having that update accross all pages? (this question in particular is directed towards GARS). Because then as I could have advertising modules that could be easily changed and reflected across every review with minimal effort. Also, I'd like to have a module within game reviews which could auto check the title of the game and see if we have a shirt that relates to it. (sort of an "if" conditional). Then the shirt module would display if the title of the game had a word reflected in the title of a shirt we have for sale. You see where I'm getting at ? |

GARS does have this ability to do this very easily. There is a tutorial for creating an adsense module (takes about 10 seconds ) however I think there might be a bug with it (I havent tested it because I dont have adsense!)
The other item is a bit more complex but I admit it would be a good idea. If only there were a few more hours in each day! |

I mainly want the adsense idea, but the shirt idea would be cool as well huh
lol
Why don't you just sign up for adsense it's really easy. I could send you a link to my site where you could sign up through me so when you make your first $100, I make $100 Lol , it's good to have an adsense account just because really. |

Unfortunitely the CMPS modules on vB pages hack does not work with 3.5.1 and Brian is less than forthcoming with support on the issue. I'll admit I have only tried in the vBa forums though, and not via a support ticket.

If you're wanting to have some of the modules on your vBulletin pages look here. I used this and managed to do this:
MLG PwnCast: MLG Guides As you can see it turned out pretty nicely (just gotta find the top tools and chang them to match the CSS file 'tcat' . I'm also running 3.5.2 if that matters to you. Just be sure not to make my error: Quote:
