Default Fixing a few template issues

http://www.c4dportal.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=4

As you can see, my forum is not wide enough to display some of the information correctly (causes a few template issues). I thought about decreasing the width of the TOP X (or latest X) module, but I don't know where what template I have to edit.

Furthermore, is it possible to limit the length of the thread topics displayed in TOPX? Otherwise, its length might screw up the width of the table again.

Thanks in advance.

Do you mean the text that breaks into 2 lines? If so, the problem there is mainly your background gradient isnt made for multiple lines. You can work around that by changing the graphic (obviously) or tweaking the template to reduce the excess verbiage.

HTHs!

Yes, that's what I meant. I know that fixing the gradient would be one solution, but I would rather decrease the size of the before mentioned table. Is that possible?

There are a few tutorials out there that explain how to decrease the topic string, so i'll figure that out myself.

p.s. I didn't have this issue with GARS 1.x, what exactly has changed in the layout?

Depends on the forum, text, style, etc...

If you check it out on a liquid style on a big screen, it will appear on 1 line. If its fixed width and you use both columns for modules - it scrunches it.

Hope you get it sorted... I think it looks pants on 2 lines

Thanks for your help.

I could get it sorted if only I knew where u set the size of those top X modules. I can enable debug mode and figure out what templates are used by gars, but I am sure you could tell me a whole lot faster

Sorry to keep pushing you. These tables have to be defined somewhere. I know it's not a GARS issue, but I'd like to fix it regardless.

There is a fixed width setting in the GARS_mod_container template of 200px (check the inner table by $bits).

HTHs
