Default Different Title Tags for Articles?

I have an idea that I think will help optimize the articles to better rank in search engines and help people that find these articles via search engines be able to tell that it is an actual article/product review/how-to

Take this for example: http://www.mustangevolution.com/foru...tml#post266870

Look at the current title of it. It just looks like a regular forum to people that search for it!

Is there anyway we can alter the title tags for the seperate types of articles?

Like I want my actual articles to be setup like this:

Mustang Evolution | Article: What the article is

and product reviews

Mustang Evolution | Product Review: What the product review is

This would help a ton!

Well just this for example:

http://www.mustangevolution.com/foru...tml#post265937

The title tag for this tutorial is:

Quote:
<title>Mustang Evolution | Installing A Steeda Tri-Ax Shifter</title>
What I want is for Tutorials to have this kind of title tag:

Quote:
<title>Mustang Evolution | How-To: Installing A Steeda Tri-Ax Shifter</title>
Take this article: http://www.mustangevolution.com/foru...ation-faq.html

The title tag for this article is:

Quote:
<title>Mustang Evolution | Nitrous Information & FAQ</title>
I want Articles to have this title tag:

Quote:
<title>Mustang Evolution | Article: Nitrous Information & FAQ</title>
and this example for product reviews:

Quote:
<title>Mustang Evolution | JLT CAI for 2005 GT</title>
I want this to be:

Quote:
<title>Mustang Evolution | Product Review: JLT CAI for 2005 GT</title>
Get what I am saying now?

It's refreshing to see such a great response to suggestions. I am sadly not used to this type of support!

Good job!

hehe. Thanks again!

I cant promise I can do it (it may be tight for the next release) however it doesn't mean I cant take it on board. If I cant make it happen for next release, I'm sure I can sort out a simple modification for you! After all, its more important that you get what you are after out of the software rather than you to feel like you have to make compromises.

Sure thing I just think it will help in getting all our articles ranked higher in Search Engines as well as making it easier for people to realize that it is an actual article.

well, the problem is with consistancy.

See, at the time I think I was including a Showthread template with the install and now im not, which would make this more of a challenge to do. Not diffucult mind you - but more faffy of an install as it would include a template edit.

What if I were to include an extra variable that was the type title + : + item title
That way you could simply edit your template if you wanted to include it. Would that work for you?

Sure I am just looking for a way to distinguish my articles from regular threads when viewing them via a search engine. If that will work I will gladly edit the template.
