Default Custom field thumbnail link problem?

Hello,

I decided to create a custom thumbnail field for my forum. Now when i try and display it on the template $post['gars17'] -- it displays 1/thumb_canon-710-is-review.jpg,1/canon-710-is-review.jpg

How do i seperate the two? because obviously http://www.site.com/1/thumb_canon-71...-is-review.jpg isn't a valid img source

Thankyou

You will need some sort of module/logic to break the two appart. Some custom fields have multiple values that are comma seperated. In this case, the image is a comination of pathtothumbnail,pathtooriginal

A simple hook or module would do it for you

I can't even figure out how to do a module or hook to handle this problem.

I would have thought GARS would have come with that? being an option in the custom fields, what else is the thumbnail field used for?

There is a module for that... its the custom fields module. If you want to format in other ways otside of that module, you need the logic that the module uses

The fastest and easiest way would be to create a php file in your geek/gars/mods/display folder with something like the following in it:

PHP Code:
<?php

global $post;
$post['me_split_thing'] = splitstringhere;

?>
Then register the module via admincp->gars->modules->register new module. All you will need to do is name it.

Then add your newly named module to the set in question.
