Default Added Support for Video

I would love to see an added video similar to how you ahe the Articles and Review. Just in a different format. Something similar to how break.com displays there video. I have a video section but it is hard to navigate when you want to see the video and it doesn't play right in the thread you have to click and download it.

Just a suggestion and if you do decided that you would like to tackle something like this let me know I would be willing to pay for some of the cost.

Thanks

Jason

Thanks. If you can provide a URL for an example, it would help give me an idea of what you are looking for.

Thanks!

I am thinking like break.com but more so that when you look at the at the forum section it would not have the normal thread info going across, it would be the a screen shot of the video then the description date time posted one after another. When you click on it it would have the video embeded.

Basically I'm looking for a better way to manage video

Any thoughts on this. If this would cost money please let me know I am really interested in doing this. I allow members to submit video into the forums in a special section but would like to have a better look to it.

Thanks

Jason

You want users to be able to upload video?

Yeah have them upload video and then just have it imbeded into the page. Then similar to the Article program allow people to leave comments below it and have the rating. I wouldn't think it would take to much. I just want a better presentation of the videos

I really haven't had a ton of success with photopost and video. I might have to try it again to see. But I was hoping to have the forum display look similar to the homepage of break.com where the videos are listed going down the screen. Just really a better presentation.

I think it may be a little large of a mod for what youre after and it may be a bit clunky for GARS to handle if I follow you correctly

There is a hack over at vbulletin.org that allows you to include any media type in a post via a special bbcode. I haven't tried it, but if it works like its description says it should, and I understand properly what you are after, then it should work for what you want.

My appologies for not providing a link, I can't seem to access vbulletin.org right now...
