Default Article name and thread name update problem

Before I post this as a bug I want you to confirm the same problem, because I have made few changes to my layout.

When I post article, the name is corect on showthread forum list (thread name is OK).

However, once I edit article, the name is not changed in showthread forum list (thread name), only the name within article page is changed.

Also names of threads (articles) doesnt show up in vbadvanced old news module until I change the name of the thread with moderator AJAX feature on forumdisplay page (with thread list you can quickly edit threads names with AJAX).

It looks like there is a problem with thread name vs. article name. As I can see from template, articles use $post[name] instead of $thread[name] in templates.

Anybody has the same problem?

If I remember right, this is a vB issue. GARS actually doesnt even touch the thread or post name (or text for that matter).

UpS now I relize that it works the same also in vb threads. Only moderator can change the name of the thread not even owner of first post (and this can be customized in settings I believe).

Sorry .-)

But how about the second problem that old news module doesnt get article names until I change them as moderator? It looks like GARS doesnt record thread name somewhere vbadvanced is looking for.

I will check if regular forums /not GARSed/ are behaving the same or correctly. Be back in few min.
-------------------------
edit: ok, the problem will be somewhere else because it's working corectly with other regular forums and even other GARS forums (so I need to find the reason on my side)

THANKS FOR PUSHING ME FORWARD :-)

No prob... Hope you find the problem. Personally, I have always found it annoying that vB titles arent changed if a user edits the title in their post.
