Default Some questions and ideas.

"Marked Thread Title
Enter some text (i.e. Install count) if you want to display total of marked threads. Otherwise leave blank."
"Marked Thread Prefix
Leave blank if not using. Otherwise youll incur an extra query. Note: You can use HTML to markup."
I don't know what this means and for what it is.
--------------------------------------------------------
In my geek/gars/cache/ folder are 4 files: mod1.php, mod2.php,mod5.php and mod6.php please can you explain for what this is and are they important?
--------------------------------------------------------
In the acp GARS settings if I switch "cache Modules" to "yes" I still need to make this settings again for every module set and module again?
Maybe it should be better to make only one setting for all in the GARS settings or what is the advantage to doing it for each module separatly?
---------------------------------------------------------
For one custom field I created a special template GARS_custom_row1 including this:
PHP Code:
<tr><if condition="$itemtitle"><td><strong><font color="#B9263D">$itemtitle</font></strong></td>
</
tr><tr></if><td><font color="#B9263D">$value</font></td>
</
tr
Did I make anything wrong or does it not work, because it's not changing the colour.
---------------------------------------------------------
On the template set I can put for showthread, New thread and Edit thread a custom template? Tried with GARS_newthread and GARS_editpost but seems to change nothing at all, can you give me a hint what I can do with that?

Ok thats all for now, thanks for your patience.

The best example of a marked thread in use is in the add on section of this forum. There, a user can 'mark' or unmark a thread (in this case, install/uninstall). That allows a user to manage a list of those that clicked install. It also shows the user which threads they marked (in this case 'installed').

Your cache files are arrays that GARTS writes to for module settings and for caching things like featured articles. This saves queries and processing.

If you change to cache modules, then you wont need to do anything else. That jsut enables the caching of data from features articles and the Top X modules which in turn saves queries. Essentially its a master switch to turn off caching of modules.

Tough to say without seeing the markup code. Does the custom value appear? If so, then its your markup.

It should be changing those templates... but Ill have to look into it. I dont use them so there may be a bug.

Thanks!
