Nothing is working... and I did everything I could think of...

My site is http://www.aspkin.com/forums

Advice welcome,

I even followed the old advice you gave me a couple months ago... still not working..

I uninstalled and reinstalled, nothing..

Please get back to me asap, I would like to get this working again.

Thanks,

Hard to say without an example. Go through the ACP -> GAL -> Settings and the ACP -> GAL -> Permissions and make sure they are correct, as well as double check this post just in case something is accidentally set the wrong way. Also check that under ACP -> GAL -> Display, the Auto-link box is checked.

I did everything in the post you suggested... and the tips you just pointed out here.

I think the problem might be in the way the database is setup.

I had problems with moving the forum to a new server, so what I did was install a fresh VB and then import tables as I needed them. Could this cause the problem?

And I have the old tables to GAL but when I imported them, nothing changed in the ACP.

I really need to get this going again... what am I doing wrong?

This is just a guess, as it is nearly impossible for me to tell you what happened during the server move, but maybe you lost the GAL_settings from the vB datastore table or maybe the GAL tables got corrupted. You might try being rid of the GAL tables and doing a fresh install, or you might try asking your new host for assistance, as they would know more about your new account and database setup, things I cannot know from here.

Ah, I saw GAL in VB datastore table but didn't think much about it.

I'll copy my old settings into it and see what happens.

So I tried the last couple hours... trying to make things work.. still nothing..

I installed and reinstalled several times... is it just not working for 3.6.9 ?

It seems like my keyworks are working in the backend... but nothing shows up in the forum..

What options do I have to get ONE keyword linking for me?

Okay... I'm starting to get things together now..

I just figured out I've been working on the WRONG database for the last couple days... I have 4 databases setup for my site, and I've been working on the wrong one... Lol

Two I found out I have hooks disabled in config... when I go to enable though, my site messes up and won't load.. so I have to figure that out first..

Things are coming along though... I'll keep you guys posted.
