Go to the ACP -> GARS -> Types -> click the type for that forum -> look under the 'Forumdisplay options' section -> mark the following as yes if desired:
  • Display the reply count in threadbit
  • Display the view count in threadbit
  • Display the authors rating in threadbit
  • Display the members rating in threadbit
  • Display preview/synopsis in threadbit

Try either the $thread['synopsis'] and/or $thread['preview'] variable. The gars_class_list.php file shows how each of those variables is set.

Try setting ACP -> GARS -> Settings -> 'Maximum character count for displaying synopsis in forumdisplay' to a large number.

The preview/synopsis were coded to not contain BB Code, but rather be meant as snippets of text to give the reader a clue as to what the thread is about. If you want to change that, you'll need to look for $thread['preview'] and/or $thread['synopsis'] in the gars_class_list.php file and make file edits, but note that those variables are HTML special charactered, so whatever edits you do, make sure you do not open your board to vulnerabilities.
