More modules for Geek Gazette
Hi, I'd like to ask for customized modules.
Right now there are 4 modules available but I think geek gazettes customers with php know how could have made modules for their own. Are there some more out i.e. latest profiles or any kind of usercp informations (last visit, unread pm's). Thanx for assistance. Last edited by Cocko; 12-07-2008 at 04:05 PM.. |

Correct, GAZ comes with four default modules:
If you want to add other modules, you would need to know PHP, understand the code of the default modules, and be familiar with the vB tables so you could code a module that pulls the information you want from the vB tables and displays the information on screen, while being in a format like the default modules so GAZ understands the new module. IIRC there are no GAZ add-ons available on this site, but maybe someone with custom modules will share them with you.

I believe that you could have a section for custom add-ons, and people could vote for the best ones, like the mods section from vbulletin.org?
It would be great for the community and could improve sales for you guys. |

Right now there aren't any customized GAZ modules in add-ons area.
I am not a coder and try to help myself with vba cmps modules changing to GAZ until now with less success. That's why I started this thread, hoping that some coders have made some extra modules such as

Doesn't the statistics block already provide those??? It seems to on my site... I do agree having more blocks would be nice, maybe I'll sit down and write one when I get some time! |

Only the last "one" of registered users is shown on stats module.
What I ask for is
a couple of cmps modules have equal contents, maybe you are able to setup and modify that modules to gaz? |

We desperately need some modules;
Can anyone help? I could donate something and know that others will. For example: Vblog module I will try to learn how to code them, but it looks hard to me |

Just so I'm clear on what's available, there are the 4 modules included, but no additional modules have been contributed by the people smarter than me yet?
