Removing the alpha bar and Top X blocks
I am wanting to turn off the Alpha Bar and Top X blocks on forum display for GARs.
I have turned them all off, but they still show up. Any ideas as to why this might happen? Thanks Chris

For top x you need to edit module set.
For alpha bar you need to edit type.

Thanks but that was the first thing I tried. That did not work. That why I asked to see if anyone else has this problem.

Using any cache the page add-on?

Double check that 'Display the Alphabetical Quick Jump Bar' is set to no for the type that is being applied to the forum. Maybe you set it to no for some other type. Same goes for the module set. Double check via the ACP -> GARS -> Modules -> tick Forumdisplay or Showthread depending on where the modules show up, and next to the top link is a drop down menu where you can delete the module from the page. Just tested these things, and they work okay so the only things I can think of is that you accidentally edited the wrong things, or the page is being cached somehow.

Yes those are turned off. I will look around some more to see if I can find out what is causing this.
