Default GARS 2.1.1 Release Discussion

I have just released version 2.1.1 of GARS to address to address a couple issues with 2.1.0

To read about the improvements in 2.1.0 click here

2.1.1 also introduces:
A significantly better rating resyncing tool and rating recorder.
A way to toggle the member and author ratings display on the postbit (you can now turn them off from the type setting). Please note that you will need to most likely turn them ON once you upgrade

To upgrade, upload all files from the 2.1.1 package to their corresponding location on your server (overwriting previous versions).
Reimport the product xml (overwriting the previous version)
Make sure that you re-import any GARS add on packages you may have (i.e. the links or release packages). Be sure that you select the option to import only templates and phrases to prevent recreating additional types and such.

Please leave this thread for discussing the release. Bugs should be posted in the tracker.

Rock On!

I never added this to the bug report (not really a bug), but was it added by chance?

Unhappy

Filter module doesn't work (on my site)

It doesn't matter what existing custom field (Select box type) I choose as a filtered...when I choose a filter option on forumdisplay it still lists ALL the "threads" (without any filtering).

I've done all the "Tools" in the admincp/GARS/Tools section. Modified existing reviews...still no luck.

Any help appreciated!

Is the 'allow to filter' option ticked in the type?

Yes...of course.

It's sends the form...the url changes...still all the entries listed.

Maybe because fields in Hungarian ?
In Hungarian language there are some "extra" letters like: é á ű ú ő ó ü ö ÃÂ*
Update: no it's doing even without Hungarian letters.

Ok found the problem:
In GARS_mod_filter template there's a line:
PHP Code:
document.location='./forumdisplay.php?f=$forumid&filter[' id ']=' e
& replaced to &

PHP Code:
document.location='./forumdisplay.php?f=$forumid&filter[' id ']=' e

Installation went well, everything seems ok, even my custom fields tickboxes are now cool now, thanks a lot for that geek.

Only 3 issues are on my site, after reverting the gars_pb the left boxes are stretched to the middle (double size) and the gars_mod_container should contain by default (To avoid the big line spaces between each custom field value):
PHP Code:
<div class="panel" align="$stylevar[left]">
                                <
div class="fieldset">
                                                                <
table cellpadding="1" cellspacing="2" border="0" width="$stylevar[gars_mod_width]" id="gars_container_$itemid" name="gars_container_$itemid">

$bits

</table
Another thing I observed, if there is a blank line in an article/review, in the forumdisplay preview it's getting a big space (5 lines) between the lines.

Hey Ramses can you provide a link to the double size issue?

Ill most likely include another stylvar option for the cellspacing/padding of the module in next release.

Does the preview look the same in vb's preview thing? i.e. you hold your mouse over it and there is the same big ass space? ** edit: Nevermind, I just saw your test on here. Thanks! **
