Here is a stupid question...

I have GARS installed. I got it to add a website links directory.

What is the path to open the add-on?

1: ACP -> GARS -> Settings -> Forums -> Types is how you change the format of threads in forums. ACP -> GARS -> Modules -> Link Directory -> Snap is how you edit the link directory settings.

2: Not sure to what you refer.

So, rather than making an external page to display, GARS changes a forum category to a different format.. This is what GARS does? So I need to select a category to use with GARS? This probably means that I should wait until I import my existing forum into VB before I start to set up GARS?

I went to admincp>GARS>Modules.. and there was no module called LINKS DIRECTORY. Do I need to import it? If so where do I get it from?

Here are the titles that are listed:

Author Rating
Attachments
Featured Items
Link Header Image
Published By
References
Table of Contents

Top X
User Ratings

FYI: The 'import' category in my admincp is for the IMPEX (import/export) utility in VB. I didnt realize that it added anything to admincp until after I installed GARS.

Yes, in a nutshell, GARS reformats forums. Please visit the forums listed on this page to see some examples. The wiki should help you with setting up GARS and the link directory add-on is here. It sounds like your board is in a state of flux, so it might be better to wait until you have things set, and then try GARS on your board.
