Default How To Get Image Resizing To Work?

Hey there .. finally installed GARS last night and most seems to be going well so far!

First issue I have is that when I try to edit an article to upload a new image it gives me the following error:

Quote:
The following errors occurred when this message was submitted (it was a .jpg):
1. Image too freaking big! image size: 770670 bytes. Max size allowed: 100000 bytes.
The main reason I got GARS was for image management and I'm 99% it's just something simple I overlooked on my end. Or does GARS only resize in terms of width and height, but not actual file size?

1- I have made sure my gars/images/, gars/images/types/ and all 3 gars/images/types/ subdirectories are set to 777 (didn't notice those last 3 originally but they have been changed now).

2- Image Processing Library = GD
(and the GD image is there for the Image Verification Library so I know it's on, although you'll have to tell me how to check for GD version and/or settings if the issue could be there).

I'm sure it's something minor on my end I overlooked .. just can't figure out what it is!? Any help/suggestions/directions would be appreciated!

EDIT> Ooops .. forgot to mention I'm on vB 3.6.4, Gars 2.1.2, PHP 5.0.4 and Linux Apache v2.0.54

Thats a filesize error - you can change the upload size to something like 1000000 via your settings

ah ok .. I think I get it ... GARS the 100,000 (default) value if only to check the size BEFORE upload .. then the 100 by 100 value is for afterwards?

Fairly simple, although might want to throw something in the bylines of the settings just to avoid confusion for some people as I thought I'd be able to upload anything (well within my server's limits obviously) and then GARS would resize according on all three (width, height and file size)

I suggest maybe:
Quote:
Maximum upload size in bytes (i.e. 100000)
The maximum image size allowed to upload before dimension resizing.
.. and thanks for the super quick responce!
