Module Tables
Where in the database are the registered modules stored?
I was messing around and added a duplicate, however, looking in the database I cannot seem to find where it is. It has to be there seeing as it is given a unique ID...therefore, I assume that there is a database table with that ID. Thanks! |

Module information can be in a number of locations:

Hmmm well I am not sure why I cannot seem to find that module in the database...You would think since it got a unique ID that it is in the database somewhere right?

The id field in the gars_module_sets table is unique. The setid field in the gars_module_set_details table is the value of the id field in the gars_module_sets table. There is also an id value in the serialized modsettings array in the GARS_settings row of the vB datastore table that matches with the id of the id field of the gars_module_set_details table. The files in the /geek/gars/cache directory are titled number.php where number is the typeid of the type selected in the ACP -> GARS -> Settings for the forums, and in those files may be a $gars_cache_modules variable where id in that array is the same as the id field in the gars_module_set_details table.

Ok so here is my question...
How can a module be removed manually from the database? I deleted it in the admincp, however, the table is still showing in the database. So basically what I did was register a module that was already there...not sure what I was thinking. So instead of deleting it through the admincp, how can I do it manually in the database? Thanks! |

There is no nice way to delete things directly from the database. You would need to use the information in post four. It's really not clear to me what you did and why deleting a module from the ACP is not working for you. Perhaps you need to clean cache: ACP -> GARS -> Tools -> Clean Cache
