Hi there,
I have created a new forum for literature in Germany and I am using GARS for book discussions (review system). I thought I can upload the book cover to display them in the forumhome template, but it is not allowed to use them without permission. So I thought I can use the Amazon partner programm and use product recommendations, which actually includes a cover picture (and maybe I can make some money with that ). As these recommendations are iframes and you have to copy the html text in your forum, does anybody know if I can specify a custom box where I can and only I can put it in. That this will be displayed on forumhome and on the review page? Or maybe someone knows a much better way. Many thanks in advance. Best, Frank |

Hey Frank, I did a custom module for a user last year that intigrated Amazon reseller stuff - but in all honesty its long since gone. If you could get me info on how you would do it I will see if I can whip something out for you.

Many thanks for your reply.
Maybe you can take a look at http://www.literaturforen.de/forum/f...splay.php?f=30 There you will find the forumhome page and I just would like to find a way to include Amazon reseller stuff instead of the image. So usually when you contribute there is an picture upload function. Instead of that I would like to use a field which can handle html code (for amazon iframes). When you open the item usually you find the picture on the left upper side. Of course this should display the same Amazon reseller stuff which I am using in the forumhome page. And the other thing would be that only the admin can see this field and copy the source code in it. Does this help for a better understanding? Many thanks for your help. Best, Frank |
