Incorrect Image Path
I am trying to fix this problem for a friend, and am unsure of how to remedy the problem.
Whenever I upload an image, it gives me a faulty path and seems as though it does not even upload it. I uploaded a new article and got this path. Bear in mind there is no 0 folder in the one folder, nor is it created upon upload. All the folders in the directory are setup with proper permissions. It does not seem that things are even being uploaded, as I cannot find this file anywhere within that images folder. http://www.traderslaboratory.com/for...702220test.jpg I know I have the absolute paths setup correctly as well as the http paths in the settings. Attachments for vBulletin are working well, so I do not know what the problem is here. |

The number 10474 looks to be your userid and the /geek/gars/images/1/0/4/7/4/types directory is where thumb_12130702220test.jpg file should be stored. Check whether safe mode is on or off and that the following directories have 777 permissions:

Safe mode is off and those directories do have 777 permissions.

Strange, the fetch_path function in the geek_class_upload.php file is coded to create the needed directory structure. Are you sure the 'Absolute path to images folder' is correct in the GARS ACP settings? Is your server's /tmp directory world writable? Is 'Safe Mode Upload Enabled' accidentally set to yes in the vBulletin Options?

The /tmp directory is 777 and safe mode is off in all places.

Confused as well. Maybe you are being affected by this.
Another thing to check would be the ACP -> GARS -> Settings -> Usergroup Permission -> both 'Use gallery' and 'Upload header image' set to yes for your usergroup. The only other thing I can think of is to manually create the following directories, if they do not already exist, making sure they all have 777 permissions, and then see if the upload will go.
If that is a no-go as well, it's going to come down to throwing in a bunch of echo statements in the code to see where the hangup is.

I actually tried that earlier, but out of desperation tried again with no luck.
I'm running PHP version 5.2.5 and MySQL version 4.1.22 if that would help at all. |

GARS Image Upload Issue
I am having issues with GARS when uploading images for my book reviews. The thumbnail constantly gets broken and no thumbnail image is being created in my file directory. As a result I have to manually create a .jpeg thumbnail and upload it into the appropiate directory. What is causing this?
I have chommoded all folders to 777 and still not working. Would appreciate if the admin can pm me so I can provie him the admin account to look into. Thank you |
