Default Just an idea ;)

As a whole lot of vBulletin users are out looking for some way to host/manage a wiki that is integrated into vB, I think a couple of easy modifications will allow GARS to function almost like a wiki.

I think the only thing I see missing is a wiki's ability to link across articles. Perhaps a mod that would allow a bbcode such as: [wiki]Cheese[/wiki] to automatically link to the article named: Cheese (in one of the GARS forums). You will of course have to write a script to determine whether or not an article has been created already (a preg_match would probably work).
I could even envisage the usage of GAL to automatically link articles that have already been created.

Categorisation / permissions etc. can all be managed with the default vB system and your members will be already familiar with the bbcode system thus saving them the hassle to learn wikisyntax. (I found this mod to be quite helpful for adding a group as an editing group: http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showt...p+as+moderator)

Just a thought tho'

its something to look for in the future, but I'm not sure if GARS could ever do this simply because it lets vB do all the back end stuff. What youre talking about is really getting into how vB manages posts. It would be easier to do a seperate extension at that stage (possibly a way forward for GARS future. Who knows?)

Regardless, keep em coming

Wow... another step closer to achieving wiki status: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=145631

Hopefully we'll see this future on the next update or version of vBull
