Default Comment System for VB

Hi VB Geek,

I have video clips on my site. I'm trying to find some kind of blog system, where my users can leave comments after watching a vid clip. Similar to how youtube.com are setup to recieve comments.

I would like this software to be integrated with VB so that my users don't have to type in anything except their comment.

I'm told that GARS is what I may need. I'm not really sure which package would suit me, so can someone give me some advice on what I need please?

Thanks for your time.

Reggie

Sounds like Gars is what you need. Gars is so powerful, that I have no idea where the limits can be.

So can Gars work on pages not inside my forums but on the same domain?

I looked at this link http://www.thevbgeek.com/forumdisplay.php?f=43

Most of those features seem to be forum based. I have normal htm pages with video clips. Under the clips I want a box where users can leave a comment about the video clip. I want the htm page to recognise that the person leaving a comment is one of my VBulletin users, so that the user does'nt have to type in his / him name; the simply leave the comment, and it shows their name. Also persons that are not registered on my forums should not be able to leave comments. This is how I would like GARS to operate.

Can GARS do this? If so, how is it done please?

Thanks for your time

Reggie

GARS sits on top of a forum, not on static pages.

You would essentially need to set up a forum or your clips in order for it to work
