Question About GARS
Hi there,
I run a fairly large gaming forum that I plan on upgrading to vB 3.5 this weekend and I am looking for a good article system to replace v3articles (You can see the site yourself at www.gamemecca.net). GARS looks like a kick ass system, but I had a couple of questions before I buy. Naturally we would use GARS as our review system, and I like the look of the demo forum you have here for reviews. That would work perfect with our site. My question is, is GARS so customizable that I would be able to transform some of our other sub-forums into that same look and feel, without actually using the sub-forum for reviews? For example, we have a Quake sub-forum. Could I use GARS so that you could see featured posts on the left hand column, normal thread listing in the middle, and then a PHP include file module on the right (Maybe something custom that I create like a small file that lists player standings, or available teamspeak servers)? In essence, I would be transforming the sub-forum into a sub-website, which would display threads and some custom modules I create that have nothing to do with reviews. Let me know if I thoroughly confused you. |
