![]() We've got a custom field set up to filter in our link directory - it's set up correctly (i.e. It's a 'select box' type, it's ticked in the type to filter, it's included in the forumdisplay module set, etc.) and though the results show in the module on showthread, there is no filter on the forumdisplay. Is this a bug? Or are the link directory and filters mutally exclusive? Please don't say the latter as we need to be able to categorize!

![]() Sorry for the delay, had to setup a temp account with accessmask permission to see the link directory. Login with:
Member name: nymyth Password: nymyth Login at www.ikeafans.com then click to http://www.ikeafans.com/forums/sources-directory/ to see the link diectory itself. It's currently in a private area of the forums so you can't navigate to it, but you can get to it directly. TIA for any information/help you can provide! James and Susan |

![]() OK lets try this:
GARS >> Custom Fields >> Enter your descriptions then put in all your different options(comma seperated) >> SAVE THEN go to: GARS >> Modules >> Edit the module set youre applying to it >> forumdisplay (it doesnt work in showthread) 1. Make sure the filter module is active 2. Click the drop down and go to EDIT -- Fill out the settings -- Click the checkbox for the custom field you just created -- Vertical = yes >> SAVE That should do it. |

![]() I hate that sort of problem, the type where you've made a basic slip-up, but simply can't *see* it because you know what's *supposed* to be there? Sometimes all it takes is a different pair of eyes.
The problem was caused by using the Custom Field module instead of the Filter Module ::headsmack::. Thanks very much for the reality check ![]() James and Susan |
