Default 2.0 impor error

I am getting this error when trying to import 2.0 beta.

XML Error: not well-formed (invalid token) at Line 1

Any ideas as to why and how to fix it?

thats odd. Can you make sure there isnt any extra whitespace on the first line?

Also - try re-downloading the package.

I've already tried re-downloading the file which didn't fix anything.

What program can I open the file in? I tried Dreamweaver but the code was a mess (a bunch of boxes and crazy symbols) due to it being encrypted I'm guessing.

The file youre having a problem with is the product-gars.xml which isnt encrypted.
I would strongly suggest only using something like Notepad. You could also open it in IE. That will tell you if its well formed or not

What zip program did you use?

I figured it out. For some reason the .zip file extension was missing and until you mentioned it I had no idea it was a zip file. I should be good to go now. Thanks!
