Default banner display permission in profile

There used to be instructions as to how to create a profile field to allow certain usergroups to turn off ads.

Would someone be so kind as to point me in the right direction. I am running vb 3.6

Thanks in advance!

My only question is what should I use for a Profile Field Type. I had this set up once before, but being old and nibble these days, I forget the easy lessons.

Thanks in advance!

Whatever you want. Most likely a radio button, checkbox or similar. Most common is a single selectable radio button.

I created a profile field as instructed. Reconfigure GAB to allow admins to turn off banners, but it will not allow me to turn the banners off.

I am proabley overlooking something very simple.

Your assistance is appericated.

The field value needs to be the text value that indicates that it is off. For instance if you did a radio group and enterd yes and no, the value yes needs to be entered in the text box.

I knew it was something completely stupid. I am almost to ashamed to say what I did, but I will take one for the team should anyone else experience this problem.

When I created the profile field, the two options were Yes and No. When I configured the settings "Value for field to be 'off' I typed yes instead of Yes
