How to: Change to location of rating
How to format the thread so that I can put the rating on the bottom or top of the thread instead of on the side.

If you mean in the first post of the thread, you can move the rating blocks by picking the module set from Modules and moving 'Author rating' and 'Member Ratings' to where you'd prefer. As for any Ajax modifications, you'll need to look in the 'Add-ons and modifications' forum to see what is available.
