Default Adding Lat and Long

Hi guys,

Could some one tell me how to Add Lat and Long to an article - in the same section as the synopsis etc etc

that way we can tie articles in with our google maps.

thanks

Stuart

You would need to make a custom module with gars 1.0x however if you hang on - im desperatly working on getting 2.0 out which supports custom fields much in the same way user profile fields are.

I'm hoping to use 2.0 with Google maps actually.

Looking to use it to read route data to produce something like this cycle route <- linky

Will it be possible to use custom bit of code to use as types rather than just images, textboxes, radios etc..

i.e. An upload control that will allow me to receive GPS data to output a Google map.

Nope, simply beacuse I have no clue what that would entail. How would you upload GPS data and what format would it be in?

I was more talking about having the ability to code custom types than the actual GPS example.

I think I might be better of revisiting this when I am running GARS 2.0 and have more of an idea how to explain what I'm trying to say
