Default stickying a review

Is there a way to sticky a review in a certain category, inside it's own thread? What I mean is, say I have an apparell category and have a review in that category for a particular product. For this example, let's just say it's a jacket. What we would like to do is, when you open the jacket review, to sticky the jacket review at the top of it's thread so when people reply to it, the jacket review remains at the top after members post comments or replies to it. In other words, if a user has their thread sort order set so the most recent reply is shown first, we wouldn't want the review to drop to the bottom since technically it was the first post in that thread. We want it to remain at the top of it's own thread, no matter what their sort order is set at.

A place where you can see something like this is on vbulletin.org's forum in the mod area. If you pull up a certain mod that spans for pages and pages, no matter what page, or what your sort order, the details of that mod always remain at the top of whatever page you're on. We don't really care for it to be on every page, but at the very top of the first page, regardless of a member's sort order, would be very nice.

Thanks for any replies!

No sure if it is compatible, but there is a mod over at vBorg here that might do what you want.

Well apparently that won't work with GARS. I installed this one and it didn't edit the GARS "new review" template to include the proper function.

The one you linked to is for vb3.5 and we're running 3.7.

Not familiar with that modification but you could try looking at what is added to the template to make the 'thread type' drop down menu, and then add that into whatever template you are using for new threads in the GARS template set applied to that forum and see if works.
