Default Gars and Gal aren't getting along

I just noticed this:
http://www.jeepz.com/forum/accessori...ar-seat-2.html

Any idea what would cause this? I updated to the latest version of both GAL and GAR, but that did not seem to fix the problem.

Here's the portion that has so angered VB

Code:
		// there needs to be at least one tag per post so do not remove the comment tag that is added in the next line
        	$text = preg_replace($this->find, $this->callback, $text . "<!-- GAL -->", $settings['limit']) . $this->cache;
       	$this->cache = "";
      }

Check that the regular expression in use is correct. If you make any changes to the regular expression, use Rebuild RegExp Cache in the GAL ACP Maintenance.

I haven't changed the regular expression - the only one listed is standard.

I went ahead and rebuilt the regexp cache, and the post cache, but no change.

Everything was fine, the only change was that I upgraded to 3.7 about a month ago.

The only way I can get the Gars pages to display correctly is to turn off GAL

One thing to try is to temporarily place the following line before the code you posted and see what appears on screen:
Code:
echo 'A: ' . htmlspecialchars_uni($this->find) . '<br />B: ' . htmlspecialchars_uni($this->callback) . '<br />C: ' . htmlspecialchars_uni($text); exit();

here's the result

A: Array
B: Array
C: You really don't want anything making contact with your subwoofer while it's moving, so I cut a hole in the carpet to accomidate it.

C is the text of the second post on the page (the text is not showing up).

Replace that temporary line with the following and see what appears on screen:
Code:
$aaa = array_map('htmlspecialchars_uni', $this->find);
$bbb = array_map('htmlspecialchars_uni', $this->callback);

print_r($aaa);
print_r($bbb);

exit();

Go to the ACP -> GAL -> Display and hover over the keywords until you come across id=3 and id=4 in the query string (use the Filter on that page to check different categories if need be) and then check that, for those keywords (id=3 and id=4) there is something in the "Keywords (comma delimited)" box, as those two keywords are blank in the array output:
Code:

Well, that seems to have fixed it!

I'm not sure why it broke originally, but I'm happy it's fixed!
