Default Have modules appear in a row?

Hi,
1. How do I make modules on the threadbit appear in a row rather than vertical. I.e above header, can't get the modules to appear side by side.
2. The set up for the 'Add-On' section of this site, with those those custom fields, do they appear like that automatically (i.e side by side) or do you have to manually style them by hand?
3. And how do i prevent/disable members from rating a thread, (not meant by rating the product that is being reviewed, but the single rating in the reply page)

thanks

1: The default modules are tabled so you can place them in any location. There isn't a nice way to get different modules in a row. The best thing to do would probably be to make your own module, retrieving the content you want, displaying it how you want it.

2: Not sure what I am to see on this forum. It doesn't contain custom fields. Maybe you mean the threads in that forum. If so, that is the GARS add-on found here.

3: ACP -> Forums & Moderators -> Forum Manager -> click a forum link -> Allow Thread Ratings in this Forum -> No.

1. Hmm ok thanks. Isn't there any kind of template I could edit?
2. If you look at the way your add-on section GARS is setup, I.e The fields in the header, the checkbox list on the site, I would like to know how to do something like that.
3. Thanks

1: Nope, there is no easy way to connect module output to form a row by editing templates. Each module produces its own separate table block. There is nothing available that says to combine such and so blocks to form a row. That is why making your own module with what you want is probably the best thing to do.

2: To learn how to do that, take a look at the GARS add-on found here. The vb_release.php file in the /display directory of the add-on ZIP file has code for how to make the check boxes, and the GARS_release_pb template in the release.xml file is the template for the fields you see on screen.

3: You're welcome.

5. How can I modify the header the template. e.g. Change the colour and size of the title?

Sounds like you are looking for HTML/CSS examples. There is one here on tables, there is one here on color, and there is one here on size. More examples...
