Default Do i need two copies of GARS installed?

Hello.
I currently run gars on my site www.bilforumet.no for articles. I have done alot of modifyng to the templates to make it look the way i want.

Now i want to make new sets of layout for reviews. But as far as i can see, tutorials, reviews and articles uses the same tempates??

I want to make a new set of gars_pb, gars_forumdisplay etc to fit my customs review styles.

Is this possible? Do i need to sets of gars installed or is it possible to assign custom templates(new ones?) to the review part?

best regards

Marius

Thumbs up Nope...

To the best of my knowledge you shouldn't need another copy at all. We use multiple different sets of templates on our site. It's been awhile since I've done much with it at that level as we've had most of the basic bits setup for awhile now, and Susan is the GARS specialist anyway ;-). As I recall though, you just go in GARS -> Templates -> Click "Add New" button at the bottom and create your new set of templates.

You might need to do some copy/paste, I don't remember if it starts with an initial default or not?

Anyway, I'm sure someone else can give you a better, more detailed answer but I doubt it'll be "Buy another copy" ;-).

James is right

Just create a new template set that points to the templates you want to use and then assign it to whichever type you want.

HTHs!
