Anybody tested GARS with 3.8 RC1 ?

Anybody tested it? Do you think the current GARS will work with the forthcoming 3.8?

Any additional info on compatibility of GARS 2.1.9 with vB 3.8.0? The announcement went up yesterday, vBulletin 3.8.0 ("Gold") to be Released on Thursday, January 8th, 2009. Thanks. :) I rely heavily on GARS for my site because it such a great tool.

As vB 3.8 is still in RC state, no tests have been done for compatibility, but as some people tend to upgrade vB before is goes gold, and at least some of those people probably also use GARS, what I can tell you is that I haven't received any incompatibility reports to date.

Great thanks for the info. In looking at the list of changes for vB 3.8.0 at http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/blog.php?b=2334 it doesn't look like much is changing with the forums. It's mostly changes to social groups, albums, profiles, etc.

I am planning to upgrade to 3.8.1 and have same question.

Does it work with vB 3.8.1 or any known compatibility issues ?

porcupine73 01-28-2009 11:26 PM

What 3.8.1 is out already? hehee What version are you upgrading from to go to 3.8.1? I've done some GARS articles in 3.8.0 and haven't noticed any problems. If you are from 3.8.0 to 3.8.1 the list of changes http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showt...postid=1686910 seems to be mainly bug fixes.

Agreed, shouldn't be a problem. Will upgrade this site in the coming days.
