GARS gallery

Sense the WIKI is down can someone make sense out the gallery and how to use it?

There is no way to edit the gallery even thought if you go to Types for each Type there is a selection to edit Gallery. It does nothing.

If you post ten reviews each having a different image for the header as each is a different product you end up with ten different images in the gallery.

Not bad unless you have a large number of reviews of different products.
200 different products you end up with two hundred images in that review header gallery. A real pain when trying to add a lot of reviews to your board.

I've tried creating new review types hoping each would have its own gallery but it doesn't work that way they all use the same gallery.

Why have a gallery edit if it does nothing????

Great product but the documentation to help you learn how to use it is pretty lacking even when the WIKI was up.

Can someone please explain how to use the gallery so you don't end you with hundreds of images in the gallery that need to load every-time you post a new review.

thank you

There are the header images you add via the ACP gallery that show to others, and there are the header images you upload when making a post that only show to you. To remove the latter from the post page, in the gars_class_edit.php file find the second occurrence of the following and add the bold red bit:
Code:

if (1==2 && is_dir($path))
To delete the header images uploaded when making a post, please see this thread.
