Downloading geek packages on a mac

There are some issues with php zip classes not being able to unzip on some Macs. This is primarily with Mac's BOMArchiveHelper in Finder. Solution? Try stuffit or unzip via the terminal: (assuming file is on the desktop try) cd ~/Desktop unzip filename.zip

Also, the free unzipping program, The Unarchiver is also useful in unzipping, among other files, ZIP files.
