Hi,
is it possible to have just one gal used on serveral words.
example: let's say the words "now" and "then" shall both have the same gal.
do i have to setup two identical gal's then?

no, just set up the find text to:
now,then
And it will link now and/or then
Hope this helps ;)

hmm can i avoid gal's to replace text inside links?
one of my gal's is "no3" and a link with "no3" in the url get's broken because it's replaced by the gal.

it wont link unless there is a space before the word. so http://www.no3.com wont link, but <a href="www.bob.com">my no3</a> will link and possibly break.

hmm the problem is it links http://www.domain.tld/directory/any-no3-page.html
in here... that's a real problem :( even in the link and the description so e.g.
<a href="http://www.domain.tld/directory/any-no3-page.html">http://www.domain.tld/directory/any-no3-page.html</a> get's broken twice.
Test1: http://www.testdomain.xt/test-gal-page.html
Test2: http://www.testdomain.xt/suesswasser-aquarienchemie-68/versuch-bodengrunderhoehung-GAL-gegen-zuwirken-38539.html
hmm seems to work here... strange
the TEST2-Link is exactly the same from my site (domain replaced). I replaced no3 to GAL for testing here. originally no3 is in there instead of GAL and this no3 is in a gal at my forums and get's replaced inside the links.

ok found the "bug"... it's only when i've got more than one linkword in there.
i had "nitrat,no3,no³" in there. When i use "no3" only it works... seems to be a bug?

I would suspect that it has more to do with the - 's than the multiple words. The regexp is pretty straight forward.
Can you post the results for a debug on that item?
Thanks!

Hi,
it's kind of a strange problem.
Some example:
replacer is "ph".. when typing "phosphor" everything is okay, and nothing get's replaced. when typing "phänomen" (german umlauts) the "ph" of phänomen is replaced.
I think that's got something todo with special characters in this case.
But there's definitely also a problem with the multiple replacers.
Example:
Replacer is "Aquariumwiki, wiki" and the link for the replacers is http://www.aquariumwiki.de/. It replaces the words wiki and aquariumwiki in posts - so far so good. But it also replaces again the word "aquariumwiki" inside the link.
any ideas?

that wouldnt be a multiple problem... however it shouldnt do that either as there is a full stop (.) before it... im wondering if its something else.
Can you post a url as an example? I would also like to see the ph in an example. I suspect maybe vb uses an html entity code for special characters?!? (just guessing really)

If youre asking how can GAL assign the nmc acronym to the correct definition depending on the context its used in... there isnt a way :)

That means there is no way we can do that for a same words with two different meaning?

No. Im not sure how that would be possible for anyone to do as the meaning is only clear if you understand thecontext that it is being used in. That would require the program to analyze all words around the key word to try and understand what the poster was trying to say.
