One reason I bought GAB is so that I can control my really annoying ads, the needs were:
1. Never ever have a pop/slider/etc in the forum, only in the portal/external bits
2. Allow members to disable pops/sliders/etc
On the advice of TOG (The Other Geek) I created a custom ad and in the contents of the GAB custom template I added the pop code, in this example I used InterClick, but it should work fine with others, except Falk AG which is more complex and I havent tried to sort it yet. (although TOG says it should be doable)
Before this you actually need to create an almost empty wrapper, in this case I called mine GAB_wrapper_header, in it all I have is $gab_template which appears to be the bit of code that actually puts the add in.
If you don't do this then you will end up with an empty sponsors frame at the top of your page, and trust me it looks bad...
Now go back and alter the custom ad to use the new wrapper you created.

p.s. You could do step 2 first, then step 1 and select the correct wrapper which means you don't have to do step 3, which is what I will do in future now that I know you need a blank wrapper. :confused:
