Crictical error in gal!

Morgan,
Now today my forum has a critical error where the site is hanging whenever someone tries to get to the forum with this database error:

Database error in vBulletin 3.8.2:

I'm not sure why the GAL settings are being accessed just to get to the forum list but bascially I am going to have to shut off GAL at this point until these errors can be fixed. Please contact me ASAP! Thanks!

The error you are getting (MySQL Error : MySQL server has gone away) is an error message from MySQL. Please see the following page for the "MySQL server has gone away" error message: http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/troubleshoot_mysql_goneaway

Your host might also be able to provide you with information as to why MySQL is returning that error.

Thanks Morgan, turned out it was some Internet DNS issue that was occuring at the same time that I was trying to do something else. Problem has gone away and was not related to GAL, please consider this issue closed. Thx!
