I don't even know where to start. When I first installed this product, I posted about the problem I got and had to edit a file. Every once in a while I'll still get an error but I don't remember what it is...something like an illegal action.

I can't seem to get the styles working...it looks like crap.

I've tried changing the style to vb default as well as using the defaults css. I'll hit submit, it will look like it saved but then when I go to send the batch and I'll look and it will still be the original skin that I added (my current skin).

I bought this a while ago and it's still not working like I hoped...I would love to use this it just seems like nothing is working right :(

Not sure what to say about the error without knowing what it is in its entirety, but for the CSS, try the suggestion posted in the other thread here (http://www.thevbgeek.com/showthread.php?t=4879) and there are the the gaz_html_header and/or gaz_html_navbar and/or gaz_html_footer templates that you can edit for each style as you prefer. Use absolute http:// links, not relative links, do not use JavaScript, use inline CSS, not external CSS files, etcetera, so that you have a better chance that the receiver's email reader does not strip out parts of the HTML email.

Anyway I can give you access to see for yourself and to see that it's not working properly and maybe get to see the error.

Sorry but design is not something that is offered as part of support, but you might try making use of an XHTML Validator (http://validator.w3.org/) to help locate HTML mistakes. As to the error message, next time you get it, please post it, and I'll try to help.

I wasn't asking for you to design it, I was asking for support on a product I purchased from you...

Anyways, here's the error:
Fatal error: Cannot create references to/from string offsets nor overloaded objects in /home/se7ensin/public_html/forums/geek/gaz/includes/gaz_class_core.php on line 201

Not sure if this has anything to do with the error I got when I first installed the program. You had me edit something:
http://www.thevbgeek.com/showthread.php?t=4592

I only get this error when I first try to use it, once I click the option (like settings) again, it goes away.

I hope we can get this worked out soon.

Also, I have a lot of custom CSS code that is involved in my entire style which I think might be contributing to the crappy output of the design. How can I add all these custom css codes? It would be nice to be allowed to have custom css codes in this...just a box at the bottom like vB allows in their css.

My guess is that the two errors are related, but it is not clear what is causing it, as only two or three people have reported the problem. First undo this (http://www.thevbgeek.com/showpost.php?p=26036&postcount=5) edit and then do the edit in this (http://www.thevbgeek.com/showpost.php?p=27237&postcount=5) post instead, and see if that takes care of it.

For CSS, use the ACP -> GAZ -> Inline Style Info. The 'Filter' section lets you load CSS from a style, and the 'Extended inline style info for X Style' section lets you edit the CSS you loaded. For any url(image) CSS you might be using, remember to use the full HTTP link to the image in the CSS. More info on styling the newsletter can be found here (http://www.thevbgeek.com/geeki/index.php/Styles_and_templates_in_GAZ).

Thanks, that edit seemed to have worked...or at least I'm not getting any error now.

As for the CSS, yeah I can load the CSS but what I'm talking about is the additional CSS that you can add to vb at the very bottom of the MAIN CSS (what you select from the drop down menu of the certain style). Example...alt1 and alt2 are used differently than what gaz is using them for...I have custom_alt1, etc. I hope that makes sense. It would just be nice to have an extra area to load the extra css that I've added to my style.

If that doesn't make sense, then I'll post some pictures as to what I'm talking about.

Correct, there is no 'Additional CSS Definitions' in GAZ because of the first paragraph in the 'Inline style tools' section here (http://www.thevbgeek.com/geeki/index.php/Styles_and_templates_in_GAZ). GAZ adds inline CSS based off the ACP -> GAZ -> Inline Style Info and if you want additional/different CSS to be used, instead of adding class="foobar" to the HTML tag, you would use style="whatever" in the HTML tag of the GAZ templates.

For additional CSS definitions you need to edit your Main CSS.

Styles & Templates > Style Manager > Main CSS > Scroll to the bottom and paste it in the second text area.

(For the spacer just add a "<br />" wherever you want to add extra space, works only in templates)
