Using the very latest GAL and vb 3.5.0. I'm not seeing the little icon next to the links at all? Do I need to enable it?
New link additions also don't seem to be working.
Cheers. :D

Did you update your replacements and your CSS as per the readme? You may need to put the full URL in the CSS image path.

The upgrade instructions didn't mention replacing the CSS definitions in Style Options, but I've done that now and no change.
I don't see why I'd need the full URL for the image, GAL and my forums are in the same folder.
I don't get a broken image, I just don't get any image at all.
Replacements e.t.c. have all been replaced.

You sure the upgrade posrtion didnt mention this? Im positive I put it in there (in the readme).
You wont need to put the full url if everything resides in the same folder. I only suggest this for people who use GAL outside of the forum directory (i.e. their vbacmps page, etc...).
If youre still hitting a wall - PM me style and GAL admin access.
Thanks!

/me eats his hat...
OK so it is there hehe. PM coming your way in a mo, cheers Sam. It probably is something stupid, so apologies if it is.

Sorted it (thanks for the PM). Thought I would post the solution here just in case anyone else runs into the problem.
1- Check that your CSS addtion (from the README) is in each of your styles.
2- GAL used to use class='DEF' in the replacements - however this changed awhile ago (cant remember when) so make sure that in your replacments, they are class='gal'
Thanks again Flea.

Thanks for the help! Very prompt heh. Just a couple of other things. On my replacements thread 'Bargoed' has 2 of the icons next to it, whereas the rest have one.
Popups do not have the icon next to them, is this how it is intended to be?

I didnt see the 2 icons... however the other items were not showing up right because I hadnt dubug->rebuilt ;)
Now they look right!

Cool they're showing up correctly now as you say. I've now deleted that 'Old' style, it was redundant from 3.0.x. With regard to the double icon, a screenshot is attached.

Check that your replacements are up to date (they changed in this last version... the class tage should be class='gal')
And make sure that your gal CSS is in EACH STYLE. Quickest way to tell is to look at the source for the page to see if your css is in there. If it is - its most likely the first reason.
Also, rebuild via maintenence->debug->rebuild.

Flea: Thats a trip - I dont see it when I go (in ie). I wonder if its tired to link some source?!?

I checked this: class='gal'
This is ok, but take a look in your README.html file. There is still class='DEF' in your manual.
I take a look in the source code of the webpage. Everything looks good?
Here is some code form the page:
<!-- CSS Stylesheet -->
<style type="text/css" id="vbulletin_css">

margin: 5px 10px 10px 10px;
padding: 0px;
/* defs */
a.gal:link {

Er, all this looks OK. Can you provide a URL?

It's a Dutch forum ;) but I think you only want to view the source.

Yea... just the source!
Anyhooo - think the problem is that the CSS you put in is in the Body definition. It needs to be on its own, not between existing {}'s
Hope that helps!

Flea: Thats a trip - I dont see it when I go (in ie). I wonder if its tired to link some source?!?
I just browsed in IE, I get a space instead of the second icon. I use FF by default. Checked the Bargoed link, it's all in order... I don't have any other GAL's set up incorrectly as far as I can see?
The Geek

For some reason, its double linked when you look at the source. Not too sure as to why though.

My bad, I had two GAL's for Bargoed. Can confirm now working like a dream. Cheers!
I'm having the same problem.
2- GAL used to use class='DEF' in the replacements - however this changed awhile ago (cant remember when) so make sure that in your replacments, they are class='gal' In the GAL 4.6 I downloaded, the replacements are showing class='DEF'
Replacements GAL 4.6 allows you to house a collection of replacements for your categories. You need to add these if the installer didnt already do it for you (i.e you are upgrading)! Log into your admincp and click Geek Autolink Manager->replacements
Then click Add New and enter each of the following as new replacements:
title:Standard Link Replacement
<a href='$gal_link' $target class='DEF' title='$gal_description'>$gal_text</a> title:Popup with no title Replacement
<a href='$gal_link' $target onmouseover='GAL_popup(this,"$gal_offset", $gal_width, "$gal_box_style", "$gal_description", "$gal_description_style");' onmouseout='GAL_hidepopup();'>$gal_text</a> class='DEF'title:Popup with title Replacement
<a href='$gal_link' $target class='DEF' onmouseover='GAL_popup(this,"$gal_offset", $gal_width, "$gal_box_style", "$gal_description", "$gal_description_style", "$gal_title", "$gal_title_style");' onmouseout='GAL_hidepopup();'>$gal_text</a>So I'm a bit confused, and hoping I'm understanding things correctly.
Edit: I changed the classes to class='gal', and it's working. But I guess I just want to be sure I'm doing things correctly. :)

You are. I fixed the readme as it was out dated. I may also need to update the install code to do the same.
