View Full Version : Bug: Incorrect Nav Contents Link when viewing item.

I noticed that there is a bug in GAL, not a huge on, but one that I wanted to point out. Here is an example:

That is an individual glossary item that is part of the "Link Terms" category, but as you can see when you are looking at the item it shows the category of "Sponsors 1 Platinum" highlighted as if it was part of that category, but it isn't.

If you navigate to items in my "Link Items" category you will see that this is true for other entries as well, not just this one.

The same behaviour happens if I am looking at an item in the "Sponsors 2 Gold" category such as:

It still shows the Platinum Sponsors category highlighted as if this item were in that category which again, it isn't.

I "think" the reason this is happening is because the Platinum category is catid 3, whereas Gold and Link Items are 4 and 5 so the lowest number is always being shown which isn't correct, it should show the category highlighted for whatever category this particular item happens to belong to, at least I think that is supposed to be how it works.

This is with the most recent GAL update btw.

Thanks in advance!

I know you said not to bump things, but I see you've been here, replied to other postings but not to this one so I wanted to see if you just accidentally missed this one, are perhaps working on the problem, or if you think it isn't an issue and I should just go away. :) :)
Thanks in advance! :)

Didn't miss it, had to go AFK. Grab the GAL package again, and reFTP the glossary.php file, overwriting the old file on the server.

That fixed it! Kudos! BTW, I noticed the version I just downloaded is 6.0.6 and my previous download was 6.0.3, are there other things I should update? What were the interim changes? (I didn't see a change log file)

At this time GAL lacks documentation, stated here (http://www.thevbgeek.com/showthread.php?t=3834) under issues, but to upgrade, FTP the GAL PHP files, overwriting the ones on the server, and re-import the GAL product file via the ACP (do NOT uninstall, do allow overwrite).
