I don't currently have it installed, but tried to do what you are asking when I did. Here is a response http://www.thevbgeek.com/showthread.php?t=1584.

Thanks, but that doesn't appear to work for this version.

**BUMP!!**

Anybody know how to disable links? I tried entering # for the URL but the keyword still takes you to a blank page when clicked.

Thanks.

My suggestion would be to try SPAN in place of the A HREF tag in the gal_link_popup template, but sorry, as there is plenty for me to do right now, I'm not offering individual customizations, so you'd need to play around with the template to get it how you want.

This doesn't seem like an individual customization, this seems like an important part of the product. Especially since since a # symbol worked in previous releases.

Set Track Clicks to no in the category containing the keyword if you want to use the # symbol for the link.

Set Track Clicks to no in the category containing the keyword if you want to use the # symbol for the link.

When I try that, the word is still clickable. But instead of taking me to a blank page, it refreshes the current page.

Correct, <a href="#">keyword</a> is still a link. You can try adding onclick="return false;" to the A HREF tag in the gal_link_popup template, but if that doesn't work, this is a request that I will look at for a future version, but right now individual customizations, template changes, whatever you want to call them, are things that will be considered once this site and its scripts are running smoothly again.
