Using the the & character

I am having a problem with the custom fields I created. Users can not use the character "&" in the custom field. When they do it replaces it with "&". Can this be fixed somehow.

Does this happen upon view, upon edit, or both? If you would, a screen would help. :)

I have a screen shot attached. Look under the ingediants module and you will see what I mean. It is only when viewing the module.

Grab the package and FTP the following file and that should take care of it:

/geek/gars/mods/display/custom_fields.php
