I don´t have Permissions to the newsletter.php.

It´s a new installation. I use the actually gaz-script. I have checked the User-group permissions!

And I don´t see the colored box on the attached picture!

Sorry for my bad english :rolleyes:

here is the site http://www.heilpraktiker-foren.de/forum/newsletter.php

Check your usergroup permissions as well as the newsletter itself. If you are not in a usergroup that can subscribe to the newsletter, you wont be able to view it.

HTHs!

I have rechecked the usergroup permissions more than one time

Did you check the newsletter settings itself?

I'm having a similar permissions problem.

If I go to newsletter.php?id=1&prev=1 ... everything is fine

But if I go to newsletter.php or click the unsubscribe link ... you have no permissions.

I have triple-checked the usergroup permissions and newsletter permissions and everything looks fine. I have even tried re-installing without any luck.

I had the same problems To resolve the problem I did this ..

Goto AdminCP > GAZ > Newsletters > Edit

Make sure you have the correct settings for the Newletter in the "Usergroups allowed to subscribe" section ..

I cant remember if I had to re-generate the newsletter before it worked ..

Still no luck on this.

I have checked which UserGroups are allowed to subscribe ... all OK
I have checked which UserGroups can View the Newsletter ... all OK
I receive the Newsletter, so something is working
I can veiw a specific newsletter if I go direct to the URL ?id=x&prev=1
But if I just go to newsletter.php without any parameters ... No Permissions :(

And I'm the ADMIN?????

I have the exact same issue.

I am the admin, I receive the newsletter by e-mail, I can go to specific newsletter if I go to the direct URL but I can not go to newsletter.php ("you do not have permission to access this page.")

I know Sam is away right now so any suggestions from others would be appreciated.

Anyone figured this out? Mine was working fine earlier today and then went kablooie! Just before I was ready to send too...:(

I too have checked all the suggested permissions above and have found nothing that fixes it. BUG???

Untested, but in the GAZ newsletter.php file find:

for ($x = count($newsletters); $x>0 ; $x--)

And replace with the following:

$nids = '';
foreach ($newsletters AS $x => $temp)

Yay! Morgan, you're a lifesaver as always... It worked like a charm!

Thanks Morgan. I no longer get a 'no permissions' error ... but I don't get any issues displaying.

I'm still having a problem with this and would appreciate any help at all (especially seeing as how we paid for a license for this)

Thanks to Morgan, when somebody goes to newsletter.php they get shown # (January 1st, 1970)so it looks like it hasn't picked up any newsletter id. This also means the unsubscribe doesn't work.

If I could split myself into five, I'd already have new versions of the scripts back up, but as it is, I'm knocking them off one by one. My version of GAZ is already changed, so when the new version is released, these bugs should be fixed.

Thanks Morgan. I didn't realize you were working on an upgrade. Any idea as to when you may have this ready as I have been tackling this issue (and the complaints from our members) for nearly 6 months now.

I have this same permission problem, which I would suspect may plague most/all owners at this point. As it has rendered this script completely useless, I would suggest that GAZ should be the current focus for the next release.
