When trying to upload an image file for a article I received this error...
Got some freaky error while moving file from /tmp/phpmY1gA1 to .../d00/s32/b02790de/www/diyaudiobuilder.com/forums/geek/gars/images/1/ht-amps.jpg. Upload fine. Move=problem. error? #0
the path shown is from my old hosting program. I have changed hosts and I am pretty sure I corrected the path in the GARS admin area. would this be in a file somewhere that I need to adjust?
also have this error message on same page
Warning: move_uploaded_file() [function.move-uploaded-file]: open_basedir restriction in effect. File(...606/d00/s32/b02790de/www/diyaudiobuilder.com/forums/geek/gars/images/1/ht-amps.jpg) is not within the allowed path(s): (/home/chrisj82/:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php:/tmp) in /geek/gars/includes/gars_functions_image.php on line 220
Thanks

Double check your path in your settings and it looks like you have safemode on so you will need to turn that option on.

been trying to get this cleared up but still getting the following
Got some freaky error while moving file from /tmp/phpBAJvFG to /mnt/w0606/d00/s32/b02790de/www/diyaudiobuilder.com/forums/geek/gars/images/1/folder_big.gif. Upload fine. Move=problem. error? #0
looked in setting and that path is correct there. the path shown above is from an old hosting account I was using when i uploaded the program. any ideas on where to go to change what?

The setting is different than that? Double check and make sure that the case is correct. Also see if the file is getting created

The file is not being created. I am assuming because the script is pointing to a directory that no longer exists. I have went in and tried to find out which php file the script is pulling the directory path from but have not been able to find it as I am fairly new at php, etc.

spent HOURS going through files and trying to find out where the possible wrong path is and still no luck. Geek - any idea on where... /geek/gars/includes/gars_functions_image.php on line 220 would be pulling the wrong path from?
thanks

Can you try turning off your cache? In the GARS->Settings page... is the path correct in there?

yes - the path in the setting is correct. turned off the cache and that seems to work for the time - any idea why it needs to be turned off and have others experienced this problem with the cache on? by turning the cache off will it have a negative impact on performance or anything else?

There is a performance penalty, however it points to a corrupt cache. Are you using the latest files?

just installed the latest build over the weekend.

Make sure that your geek/gars/cache (and subfolders) are all chmodded to 0777.
If they are, then delete all files that end in .php in those folders and go to your GARS settings page and click save. That should rebuild your cache correctly.
There was a bug that got squashed shortly after my announcement that could have led to this, so it may be worth downloading the latest files again just in case.

OK .. this helped to clear up my problem
it definitely occurs after a server move
